Clients, Leona Moore and Joyce dreamed of a kitchen that would work cohesively with the style of their open concept living space, showcasing their treasured collection of locally sourced pottery while having a sleek and sophisticated aesthetic. Rustic tile flooring with multiple grey tones and hints of blue was added throughout the main floor of their home during recent renovations. The existing tile flooring, handmade rich cognac colored leather furniture, and a dining set created with reclaimed salvaged boat wood, became the key style influencing elements. The challenges that Chestnut Grove designers, Francesco Giampietro and Cassandra Brandow faced, included creating a kitchen and dining area that conveys a spacious feel, when the actual 143 square foot floor area is rather cozy.
