Position: Junior Cabinetry / Furniture Maker and Installer
Job Type: Full-time
The position is for a full-time cabinetry/furniture maker who has an interest in building unique boutique furniture for customers as well as building custom cabinetry products that are modular in use and design for our kitchens line. We also build trade show exhibits, private libraries, fireplace mantels, vanities and tables.

Valid Driver’s license required and must have flexibility to travel as required in GTA.

Willing to travel out of town and work overtime when necessary

Good housekeeping skills, pays attention to safety issues and hazards and looks out for fellow worker and visitors.

Good knowledge of English (oral and written).
What are the responsibilities of this job?

Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings and product specifications sheets; identify potential issues and suggest product or process alternatives.

Excellent knowledge using hand tools, power tools and measuring devices.

Understand how to fabricate various joints, fit parts together and properly sand wooden surfaces.

Set up and operate saws and other woodworking machines to cut, shape and form parts.

Machine components for cabinets, furniture and other specialty items from shop drawings.

Prepare and apply edge veneers, or solid wood edges.

You appreciate being detailed and have a sharp eye for quality.

Installation of cabinets and custom woodworking at job sites when extremely tight deadlines need to be meet.

Work on custom order design for clients, build to ensure the product quality and design execution meet our company standards

Packing or loading finished parts our cabinetry making ready for delivery and installation the next day.

Garbage Bin dumping, Unloading with forklift
Experience
-
Experience using hand tools/power tools
-
Experience using large industrial tools such as: Band Saw, Over Head Router, Shaper, Contour Edge Bander, Panel Saw, Table Saw, Miter Saw.

Experience using various measuring tool’s

Able to work with CNC, computer aided machinery is an asset.

Candidate should have experience in Fine furniture building or attended a wood cabinetry program.
