The exotic Macassar veneer, bridged over the gently curved legs gives the desk a deep rich charm. Macassar ebony wood comes from the exotic forests of Indonesia. The ebony colour of the Macassar is then contrasted with a golden velvety sycamore veneer that is centered on the top of the desk and embraced by solid aluminum banding. The finish is then hand polished by an Artisan to a gloss to bring out the variations in tones of the wood and to let the striking natural grain of the wood shine through.
