ARTS & CRAFTS STYLE HERITAGE KITCHEN RENOVATION

A kitchen in the Beaches area of Toronto is once again reflective of its arts and crafts style roots. This luxury space was envisioned by using hidden elements, true to the original design of the house that designer Francesco Giampietro discovered on his initial design consultations with the clients. The inspiration for arches found in the kitchen came from a porch beam that curves around the sitting area on the sunny tree-lined street. A farmhouse style apron front sink with a heritage style faucet was chosen as a focal point. The floor to ceiling pantry was tailor made to reflect original detailing on an upstairs linen cupboard.

WHAT OUR CLIENT SAYS...

"Franco explained that his vision for any job is to provide a kitchen that fits with the entire house. He took pictures of numerous unique architectural features throughout the house, such as the arch on the front verandah, the plate rail in the dining-room, and the original airing cupboard in the upstairs hallway. Most importantly, he asked what our vision for the kitchen was."
